The Net::CIDR::Lite module before 0.22 for Perl does not properly consider extraneous zero characters at the beginning of an IP address string, which (in some situations) allows attackers to bypass access control that is based on IP addresses.

Changes for version 0.12 - 2002-07-14

  • Fixed off by one error on end of range in list_range method. found by Allen Smith. added test.
  • binary find was not working when target address was beginning of a range. Also found by Allen Smith. added another test.
